Attack on Titan is a perfect anime to get somebody who loves action started on anime- I think it is literally the most mainstream anime ever made, and that is definitely not a bad thing. But with this comes downsides- ones not apparent to the viewer at first glance, but looking back on it after watching it around the time it first came out, definitely shine through.
One downside to Attack on Titan is that some viewers may be turned off by the violence and gore that is common in the show. This can make for an uncomfortable viewing experience for some people. Additionally, viewers should be prepared for intense action sequences that will keep them engaged from beginning to end.
